For this project we were supposed to choose a design trend and replicate it in work we would need done in the real world. I decided to base my project off of the 2015 Oscars movie posters made from stock images.
I used the three movie posters above as my inspirations. They all three use more than one image and contrasting text in a patterned manner. For the wizard of Oz, they used the text over the lines of each image. For Theory of Everything, they used a different type of text over each portion of the collage to give a mix and match feel but still letting it flow. For Submarine, they only used two photographs, but they did a pattern out of the text. For my project I tried to do a photo collage mixed with text that contrasts off the images really well. I also used a black shadow effect with the box around the type. Then I added in the company phone number for more info as a movie poster would.
